Cambodian PM Welcomes Minebea’s Investment Expansion


Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his appreciation and welcome to the Minebea’s investment expansion in the kingdom of Cambodia.

This was made known by Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, President of Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. during a courtesy call on Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.

He briefed his company’s growth and continued to make steady progress towards a green transformation by trying to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the entire production chains and turn itself into carbon neutral promotion, green products and other energy-efficient products.

Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma also informed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet over his company’s desire to build solar farm in Cambodia in the future.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed and congratulated the company’s progress and success over it’s investment in Cambodia, starting from a capital of about US$ 23 million to US$ 600 million, and the decision to expand this investment.

The Cambodia’s Prime Minister further said these achievements really demonstrates the confidence of the company on the stability to contribute to Cambodia’s development process by promoting economic growth and job creation for the people, as well as establishing good standards of working conditions for workers.
