Cambodia Launches Social Security Scheme on Health Care and Technical and Vocational Training

The social security scheme on health care and technical and vocational training programme for poor and vulnerable youths were officially launched by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel this morning.

This decision arises from the monitoring of the implementation of the Royal Government’s policies to respond to the need of the vulnerable people.

“They are the main strategic keys to reduce poverty among the people,” the Premier underlined.

Both programmes will go hand in hand with the National Strategy for Informal Economic Development 2023-2028, which has the first common goal of providing skills for decent work and self-employment to contribute to the Royal Government’s efforts in alleviating poverty, he added.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stressed that the programmes will also enhance the socio-economic strength, especially for the poor people who are vulnerable to diseases and global economic crisis to  achieve the country’s sustainable development goals.
