The Royal Government of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly is committed to further strengthen the investment environment in Cambodia to be more flexible, convenient and more favorable.
The commitment was emphasised by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, while receiving a courtesy visit from Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Chairman/CEO of Minebea Mitsumi, in Tokyo on Dec. 18, on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.
In the meeting, Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma informed Samdech Thipadei about the progress of Minebea Mitsumi’s business activities in Cambodia and its plan to expand its investment in the Kingdom. He also expressed his gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for providing favourable conditions for the company to run its business smoothly, which increases the investors’ confidence in expanding their investment in Cambodia.
For his part, the Cambodian Premier welcomed Minebea Mitsumi’s expansion plan, stressing that the Royal Government has been paying attention to ensuring the sustainability of a favorable environment for business and investment through the introduction of new policies, mechanisms and legal frameworks, as well as the development of key infrastructure and logistics such as expressways, railways and ports to attract both local and foreign investors.
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei added, the Royal Government is examining the possibility of establishing a Cambodia-Japan Industrial Park and developing a logistics master plan to turn Sihanoukville Autonomous Port into a major port in the region.
