Cambodia, China to Build a Deeper Community of Common Destiny

Cambodia and China are committed to fostering their bilateral relations and building a deeper Cambodia-China Community of Common Destiny.

The commitment was made in a meeting between the President of the Senate of Cambodia, Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, and the Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) H.E. Gao Yunlong, here in Phnom Penh on Dec. 20.

According to H.E. Gao Yunlong, his visit to Cambodia aimed to strengthen relations and cooperation between the Cambodian Senate and the CPPCC and launch Cambodia-China cooperation for people’s interests under the framework of people-to-people connectivity cooperation through the Silk Road.

The CPPCC vice chairman spoke highly of the good achievements of the blossoming relationship between Cambodia and China and hoped that the exchange of views between the Cambodian Senate and the CPPCC and between civil society organisations and enterprises would further strengthen the tie.

Samdech Say Chhum echoed the note and pledged to continue supporting the action plan of the Cambodia-China Community of Common Destiny for 2024–2028, focusing on multi-sectors collaboration.
