Cambodia has been enjoying full peace, therefore it is important to pay high attention to social safety and security in the Kingdom, said Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
While presiding over the launching ceremony of the Special Programme to Promote Investment in Preah Sihanouk Province 2024, held in Sihanoukville this morning, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said Cambodians have been working hard to develop their nation, but if some cases of insecurity happen, people will not come to visit the country.
“We have full peace, but we must also have good security and social safety,” the Premier underlined.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thus called on competent authorities to recheck all shooting range licences in the Kingdom, reaffirming that Cambodia does not need to provide more licences to private shooting range, Besides, he added, such facilities are not allowed in Preah Sihanouk province.
“Our nation has many beautiful islands, so please come to visit our spectacular islands better than go to shooting range,” he said.
According to Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister, the Royal Government has drafted a guideline not to allow the opening of more private shooting ranges throughout the country, and to update existing facilities and inspect their technical aspect.
