Samdech Thipadei and First Lady Leave for Thailand for an Official Visit


Samdech Moha Borvor Thiapadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, are heading to Thailand to pay an official visit, at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister H.E. Srettha Thavisin.

The Premier and the First Lady were seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by his deputies and many other senior government officials.

According to a news release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), Samdech Thiapadei HUN Manet and the First Lady will be granted a Royal Audience by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.

During the visit, Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet will also pay separate courtesy calls on leaders of the Thai parliament, including H.E. Prof. Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of Senate, and H.E. Wanmuhamadnoor Matha, President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet and his Thai counterpart will hold talks on bilateral and multilateral cooperation in areas of common interest. Besides, both dignitaries will preside over the signing of numerous documents on bilateral cooperation. In addition, Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet will deliver opening remarks at a Cambodia-Thailand Business Forum.

Samdech Thipadei is accompanied by H.E. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MFAIC, along with senior ministers, other ministers, key government officials, and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.

“The visit is expected to consolidate the enduring ties and traditional bonds of friendship between the two countries, guided by the spirit of their Enhanced Partnership for Peace and Prosperity, bringing mutual benefits for the two people as well as peace, stability, and prosperity for the ASEAN Community and beyond,” underlined the press release.
