Cambodia, Israel Agree to Boost Labour Cooperation


Cambodia and Israel have vowed to enhance technical cooperation in the labour sector.

The commitment was highlighted in a meeting between Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Heng Sour and Mr. Eli Eliyahu Sneh, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Israel to Cambodia, at the ministry’s office in Phnom Penh on Mar. 27.

H.E. Heng Sour highlighted the Government of Cambodia’s as well as the ministry’s labour reforms centred around market demand and evolving technology.

Mr. Eli Eliyahu Sneh was positive that the endeavour will enable the people of both countries to optimise mutual benefit that will further contribute to economic growth and bilateral relations.

H.E. Heng Sour briefed his guest on Cambodia’s experience working with Japan, South Korea, and other countries in labour supply, and the Cambodians are reaping the benefits both in terms of skills development and improved livelihoods.

The minister also advised the technical working groups of the two countries to discuss the technical details of the cooperation.
