Cambodian PM and First Lady on the Way to the Republic of Korea for an Official Visit


Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, are on the way to the Republic of Korea for an official visit until May 18, at the invitation of H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea.

They were seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport this morning by deputy prime ministers, senior ministers and many other high-ranking government officials as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Cambodia.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s recent press release, during his stay in the Republic of Korea, Samdech Thipadei will hold bilateral talks with H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol to discuss deepening partnerships and expanding multifaceted cooperation to elevate bilateral relations to new heights.

The two leaders will witness the signing of several documents covering areas such as economic development and infrastructure, it added.

At the same time, the source pointed out, Samdech Thipadei will have separate meetings with H.E. Han Duck-soo, the Prime Minister, and H.E. Kim Jin-pyo, Speaker of the National Assembly. He will also take part in a Cambodia-ROK business forum and meet with Korean companies and Cambodians residing in the Republic of Korea.
