Ministry, Partners Sign US$24 Million Agreements to Support the Marginalised


The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation has entered into US$24 million cooperative agreements with development partners to support children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and victims.

The ministry’s Secretary of State H.E. Souny Vongvisiddh on May 30 signed the agreement spanning the period 2024–2027 with twelve associations and non-governmental organisations.

Addressing the event, the secretary of state underlined that associations and non-governmental organisations, both local and international, are indispensable partners for the development of Cambodia.

He thanked the development partners’ for their active contribution to supporting the marginalised and vulnerable groups in Cambodia.

H.E. Souny Vongvisiddh added that the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation is committed to collaborating closely with the existing partners and also welcomes new partnerships.

To date, there are 158 associations and non-governmental organisations that have signed cooperative agreements with the ministry.
