The International Labour Organisation (ILO) is committed to deeper collaboration to further promote Cambodia’s skilled labour.
The commitment was highlighted by Ms. Maria Helena André, Director of the ILO Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ILO-ACTRAV), in a meeting with Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Heng Sour in Switzerland on June 11.
Ms. Maria Helena André spoke highly of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s effort in working with the ILO to create a better and more harmonious work environment in factories.
H.E. Heng Sour appreciated the ILO-ACTRAV’s key role in strengthening the capacity of worker representatives and in strengthening technical skills for Cambodian employees.
On the same day, H.E. Heng Sour also met with Ms. Renate Hornung-Draus, Vice President of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE).
The minister thanked IOE for the effort in helping capacitate Cambodia’s Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CAMFEBA).
The two also agreed to strengthen cooperation and mutual support to boost investment in Cambodia.
