Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia H.E. KUNG Phoak attended the 39th ASEAN-Japan Forum in Bangkok, Thailand from June 24 to 25.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), the Forum reviewed the effectiveness of the existing ASEAN-Japan cooperation, and set its future direction, under the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, following the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of the ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in 2023.
The Forum placed a particular focus on partners for peace and stability, partners for co-creation of economy and society of the future, and heart-to-heart partners across generation.
The Forum also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interests and concerns.
