His Majesty the King Sends Congratulatory Message to French President on French National Day


His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has sent a message of congratulations to H.E. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, on the occasion of French National Day or Bastille Day (July 14).

“On the eve of the National Day of the French Republic, I am happy to address to Your Excellency my most sincere congratulations and join in the joy of the French people, hoping that the efforts of all will further strengthen the unity of the nation, with respect for its different components, and according to the human and spiritual values which belong to its tradition,” wrote His Majesty the King in the royal message dated July 12.

The Cambodian monarch also expressed his satisfaction with the historic ties of friendship, trust, and harmonious and fruitful partnership which unite the Kingdom of Cambodia and the French Republic, and was convinced that the two countries will be able to deepen and further develop these privileged relations. both bilaterally and multilaterally in the years to come.

“Her Majesty the Queen-Mother joins me in conveying to Your Excellency and Madam the First Lady of France our wishes for success and happiness,” he added.

“With the memory of your deferential welcome that I keep from my visit to the Élysée in November 2023, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration,” concluded His Majesty the King.
