H.E. LONG Kemvichet, Ministry of Commerce’s Director General of International Trade, and also the Senior Economic Officials Meeting (SEOM) Lead for Cambodia, led Cambodia’s delegation to attend the ASEAN SEOM-Dialogue Partners Consultations in Vientiane, Lao PDR, from July 12 to 14.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, the event was held under the Lao PDR’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2024 to monitor work’s progress, discuss, and provide guidance on key agenda items concerning ASEAN Economic Integration with its ASEAN Dialogue Partners.
The key agendas included the progress of implementing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), the status of negotiations for establishing and upgrading FTAs, the progress of implementing economic cooperation activities, and preparing progress reports, economic deliverables, and other related documents for the Consultations between ASEAN Economic Ministers and the ASEAN Dialogue Partners, scheduled for September 2024.
The ASEAN SEOM-Dialogue Partners Consultations in Vientiane included the 46th SEOM-MOFCOM Consultation, SEOM-METI Consultation 2/29, 40th SEOM-ROK Consultation, 32nd SEOM-EU Consultation, 20th SEOM-Canada Consultation, 5th SEOM-UK Consultation, 43rd SEOM-CER Consultation, 39th SEOM-India Consultation, 16th SEOM-Russia Consultation, 41st SEOM-Plus Three, and 13th East Asia Summit Senior Economic Officials Meeting (EAS SEOM).
