DPM Hang Chuon Naron Lauds China’s Contribution to Cambodia’s Education Development


Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron has spoken highly of the Chinese government’s significant contribution to the development of Cambodia in many areas, including education.

The DPM made the remarks during a meeting here on Aug. 29 with H.E. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron was convinced that through the presence of H.E. Wang Wenbin as the new Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, the cooperation and relations between the two countries will be stronger and deeper in all fields.

Besides, he laid stress on the key role played by the youth in the relationship between both nations, and recalled China’s high attention to the field of education, youth and sports in Cambodia by providing high quality scholarships for Cambodian students because the youth represent the future of the Kingdom as well as the future of the Cambodia-China relationship.

For his part, H.E. Wang Wenbin reaffirmed the Chinese government’s continued provision of scholarships to Cambodian students to pursue their studies in China in order to contribute to building Cambodia’s human capital for the country’s development.

This year marks the 66th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and China.
