Dubai-based DP World Interested to Invest in Cambodia


DP World, a United Arab Emirates-based company, has expressed its interest to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia in three key sectors, including transport, logistics, and industrial park development, thanks to Cambodia’s favourable geographical location in ASEAN,

The interest was revealed by CEO of DP World, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, when he paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at the National Assembly Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem briefed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on his company, saying that it specialises in port logistics and supply chain technology and is present in ASEAN and around the world.

For his part, the Cambodian Premier welcomed the company’s interest, and highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policies and mechanisms that support investment.

Cambodia is connected to regional and global markets through various bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements, including the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates, he underlined.

Samdech Thipadei also encouraged the DP World to continue discussions with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions.
