A senior Cambodian delegation attended the Francophone Parliamentary Forum on sustainable agriculture, food security and climate change response, held in Can Tho City of Vietnam on Jan. 21-22.
Chairman of the Commission on Legislation and Justice of the National Assembly H.E. Ang Vong Vathana, who is also the Vice-Chair of the Cambodian Parliamentary Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), led the Cambodian delegation to join the forum.
On the first day of gathering, H.E. Ang Vong Vathana participated as a speaker, addressing its main discussion topic on food security and sharing cases and lessons learnt from Cambodia.
Francophonie cooperation in the field of sustainable agriculture, the Francophone community and the issue of food security, and sharing experiences on responding to climate change were the main topics.
Discussions at the Francophone Parliamentary Forum anchored around sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate change adaptation with 100 participants from 17 countries.
