H.E. Huot Hak Attends Minister’s Summit on Tourism in Berlin


Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism H.E Huot Hak attended the Minister’s Summit on Tourism under the theme “Enhancing Investment, Ensuring Peace: Harnessing Growth, Shaping the Future.”

The summit, held on Mar. 5 in Berlin, Germany, was attended by tourism ministers from 24 countries and tourism leaders from various other nations, totaling approximately 50 countries.

According to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, the Minister’s Summit on Tourism aims to bring together tourism ministers and policymakers to discuss key global tourism challenges and opportunities in line with current tourism trends and global circumstances.

The discussions focused on crucial topics such as strengthening peace as a fundamental basis for tourism investment and sustainable development, as well as the role of tourism in promoting global peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

Additionally, the summit addressed maintaining tourism investment amid geopolitical and economic instability, particularly emphasising the importance of World Tourism Day in fostering international cooperation and dialogue through tourism.
