Cambodia Hosts ASEAN Civil Service Meeting, Focuses on Innovation


Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service H.E. Hun Many presided over the opening ceremony of the 23rd ASEAN Cooperation Meeting on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) in Preah Sihanouk this morning, emphasising the need for innovation in public service delivery.

The two-day meeting, held at Sokha Hotel, gathers senior civil service officials from all 10 ASEAN member states and the ASEAN Secretariat, operating under the theme “Innovation for Bette Service Delivery.”

H.E. Hun Many underscored the critical role of regional collaboration in improving public service efficiency and transparency across Southeast Asia. Discussions will center on digital transformation, best practice sharing, and capacity building.

This marks Cambodia’s second time hosting the ACCSM, following its 2005 chairmanship.

The Kingdom will also host the 8th ACCSM+3 Meeting, including dialogue partners China, Japan, and South Korea, highlighting its commitment to regional public sector reform.
