Cambodian, Lao, Vietnamese Leaders Satisfied with Progress of Trilateral Relations

The Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam have expressed their satisfaction with the steady growth of trilateral relations and commended the progress of cooperation across multiple sectors.

Their remarks came during a working breakfast held this morning in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Lao Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone, and Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.

The three leaders discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in key areas such as trade, infrastructure connectivity, energy (electricity), tourism, and security and national defence.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.

As is customary at each ASEAN Summit, the leaders of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam convene for a working breakfast to discuss ways to enhance cooperative relations among the three nations.
