International Friendship Exchange Council Continues to Foster Cambodia-Japan Relations


Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received this afternoon in Tokyo Mr. MATSUZAWA Ken, President of the International Friendship Exchange Council, as part of his official working visit to Japan from May 28 to 31.

During the meeting, Mr. MATSUZAWA briefed Samdech Thipadei on the Council’s ongoing activities, which focus primarily on fostering economic and business relations. He reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to continuing its support in strengthening and expanding cooperation between Cambodia and Japan.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet praised the strong ties and growing cooperation between the two nations, emphasising the importance of economic diplomacy. He noted that alongside political and security cooperation, economic diplomacy plays a vital role in deepening bilateral relations and can serve as a mechanism for overcoming challenges when political relations face obstacles.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to multilateralism in the face of a rapidly changing global landscape.
