The Kantha Bopha Foundation is set to launch its 2025 “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” campaign, running from June 1 to 30.
The initiative will operate under the high patronage of Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, the Foundation’s Honorary President.
The official launch ceremony, to be presided over by the First Lady, will take place in Phnom Penh on June 1 morning.
According to a Foundation announcement, the “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” campaign is one of its most significant annual undertakings.
Coinciding with International Children’s Day on June 1, the campaign aims to foster the spirit of solidarity through the motto “Khmer Helping Khmer.” Its primary objective is to encourage public donations to support vulnerable infants, children, and pregnant women throughout Cambodia.
The campaign also seeks to strengthen existing collaborations with various ministries, institutions, and provincial and municipal administrations, as well as companies and enterprises that have signed Memorandums of Understanding with the Foundation. The goal is to deepen engagement with all stakeholders to deliver hope and smiles to Cambodian children in need.
The Foundation is urging the general public, philanthropists, government agencies, private companies, financial institutions, celebrities, and media members to actively support and promote the campaign nationwide. Increased participation and broader outreach are deemed essential to achieve a lasting positive impact for children and expectant mothers across the country.
