“Don’t use nationalism as a tool to violate Cambodia’s sovereignty. Such acts are unacceptable,” said Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the UYFC Central Committee Meeting held this morning at Sokha Siem Reap Hotel in Siem Reap province, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasised that Cambodia does not seek conflict with any country—but likewise, others should not provoke or accuse Cambodia unjustly.
“The nationalist movement in Cambodia exists solely to protect our territorial integrity, not to encroach upon the territory of any other country,” he stated.
The Prime Minister stressed that any attempt to invade Cambodian territory—especially through the use of armed force—would be met with firm resistance from the Cambodian armed forces.
He also highlighted the successful organisation of the “Solidarity March” on June 18, which drew more than 150,000 participants and demonstrated the Cambodian people’s unity and sense of responsibility.
“The Royal Government has no intention of violating any country, but we are fully prepared to do everything necessary to protect our sovereignty and national dignity,” he affirmed. “This form of nationalism—this kind of patriotism—is the true spirit of love for the country.”
He concluded by reiterating that Cambodia is a nation that has suffered deeply from war and is committed to peace. “We do not want war. But please, do not violate Cambodia.”
