Cambodia’s First Lady Visits Displaced Residents in Preah Vihear


Cambodia’s First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet visited displaced residents taking shelter at Wat Po 5000 in Preah Vihear province on July 31, offering moral support and solidarity during a challenging time.

Earlier in the day, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony honored soldiers who sacrificed their lives in past border conflicts in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces. She also visited wounded soldiers at Kulen Hospital to express her sympathies and encouragement.

In the evening, the First Lady continued to Wat Po 5000 to meet with families, including elders, women, and children, who have sought refuge due to ongoing security concerns along the border. She conveyed greetings and well wishes from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) and her husband, Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.

The leaders extended their hopes for the residents to remain in good health and to soon return home once peace and stability are fully restored.
