Cambodia Hosts First Special GBC Meeting


The first Special Meeting of Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) commenced in Koh Kong province, Kingdom of Cambodia this morning.

The Cambodian delegation is led by H.E. General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence and Co-Chairman of the GBC, while the Thai side is headed by H.E. General Nattaphon Nakphanit, Acting Minister of National Defence and Co-Chairman of the GBC.

According to the Spokesperson for the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence, the first Special GBC Meeting is aimed to monitor the implementation of the 13-point Agreed Minutes adopted in the Extraordinary GBC Meeting on Aug. 7, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“It is anticipated that this first Special GBC Meeting will yield more positive outcomes, encouraging both parties to fully and effectively implement the ceasefire, which will lead to peace, stability, and the restoration of normalcy at the soonest possible,” underlined the Spokesperson.
