The elevation of China-Cambodia relations to an all-weather community with a shared future reflects the deep trust and solidarity between the two nations.
The remarks were made by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, in a recent exclusive interview to People’s Daily of China.
“This new chapter opens opportunities for cooperation in sustainable development, notably in green transition, connectivity and technological innovation,” he stressed. “In connectivity, greater investment in infrastructure, transport and digital linkages will further enhance regional integration and economic growth.”
In technological innovation, the monarch added, exchanges in education, research and digital transformation can create new opportunities, especially for the younger generations.
His Majesty the King also congratulated China on the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
“China’s immense sacrifice as the main Eastern battlefield was pivotal to the Allied victory and to the establishment of a post-war order rooted in peace, in a spirit of sovereignty, equality, mutual respect, mutual trust and cooperation, in full conformity with the Charter of the United Nations,” underlined His Majesty the King.
