His Majesty the King of Cambodia Honoured with Membership in Académie des Sciences d’Outre-Mer


His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has been admitted as an Associate Member (membre associé) of the Académie des Sciences d’Outre-Mer (Academy of Overseas Sciences) of France.

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of Cambodia, extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty the King.

“I am extremely pleased to receive the news that Your Majesty has been admitted as an Associate Member of the Académie des Sciences d’Outre-Mer in Paris, France, on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen wrote in his message.

This prestigious membership, he underlined, further elevates His Majesty’s reputation, which is greatly admired and cherished by the Cambodian people, and brings pride to the entire nation in receiving such an honour on both the national and international stage.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen concluded his message by wishing His Majesty the King good health, strength, longevity, and continued success in this new royal mission at the Académie des Sciences d’Outre-Mer.

The Cambodian monarch departed for Paris on Dec. 1 to attend an official event hosted by the esteemed French academy. His Majesty is scheduled to return home later this week.
