Thai military forces have carried out continuous attacks throughout the night on Cambodian sovereign territory in the Military Region 5 area of Thmar Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province.
From 04:58 a.m. to 05:25 a.m., Thai forces deployed a large drone that flew deep into Phnom Tra-ngoal area for reconnaissance. Shortly afterward, the Thai military released toxic smoke over the same area, according to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence.
From 05:30 a.m. to 06:10 a.m., Thai troops began firing 105mm artillery shells at the O’Phluk Domrey location, she added, stressing that as of this hour, the Thai military continues its firing operations.
“The Ministry of National Defence and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces continue to fully respect and implement all decisions of the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia to resolve this issue peacefully in accordance with international law,” the spokeswoman reaffirmed. “At the same time, we stand ready to protect Cambodia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of the Cambodian people, and will not allow any country to illegally violate our territory under any circumstances.”
The Ministry stressed that the Thai side has violated the ceasefire and the “Cambodia-Thailand Joint Declaration on Peace Deal,” which both countries signed on Oct. 26, 2025, by launching renewed armed aggression against Cambodian territory through military force.
