Cambodia Free Trade Portal Launched to Promote Trade

The Ministry of Commerce launched today the Cambodia Free Trade Agreement Portal (Cambodia FTA Portal) to foster stronger trade networks and create new opportunities for Cambodia’s exports.

The launching ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and H.E Derek Yip, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries and the private sector.

Funded by Australian Aid and CAPRED, Cambodia FTA Portal is a new platform established to facilitate access to information, enable users to search and understand details, as well as to maximise the benefits from all free trade agreements to which Cambodia is a member.

Through this platform, traders, exporters, importers, and other relevant stakeholders can (1). Gain knowledge about the free trade agreements that Cambodia is a member of (2). Understand the conditions and procedures related to exporting and (3). promote trade liberalisation and enhancing economic cooperation.

“This platform represents a significant step towards increasing our nation’s global competitiveness and ensuring that all stakeholders, from small businesses to policymakers, have convenient, up-to-date access to vital trade information,” H.E.Mrs. Cham Nimul said.
