Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), visited soldiers wounded while defending the nation’s territorial integrity on Monday, distributing humanitarian aid at hospitals in the capital.
The visit, which took place on Dec. 15 afternoon, allowed the CRC President to meet with injured servicemen. She offered words of encouragement and presented relief supplies, expressing profound concern for their recovery and well-being.
Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen is widely regarded as a leading humanitarian figure in Cambodia. She used the occasion to underscore her consistent personal commitment to the welfare of veterans, their families, and vulnerable communities. She stressed that the hardships faced by the populace are shared by the nation’s leadership at all levels.
During her tour, the CRC President also conveyed messages of sympathy and encouragement from Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk. The Queen-Mother praised the soldiers’ courage and dedication to defending Cambodia’s sovereignty and wished them a swift and complete recovery.
The wounded soldiers and their families expressed their gratitude for the visit and ongoing support. They thanked Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen for her care and humanitarian assistance, and extended best wishes for the health and longevity of key national figures, including Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony.
