Thai forces deployed additional T-50TH fighter jets and launched artillery strikes into Cambodian territory across Banteay Meanchey and Battambang provinces today.
According to a report from the Ministry of National Defence, between 12:15 p.m. and 12:26 p.m., the Thai military utilised T-50TH fighter jets to drop cluster bombs in the Slor Kram commune of Svay Chek district, Banteay Meanchey province.
Earlier, at 10:28 a.m., Thai forces fired 26 artillery shells into Sampov Loun commune, Sampov Loun district, Battambang province. The Ministry confirmed that the attack caused damage to the Chan Deng Pagoda.
The Ministry of National Defence noted that while the situation along some frontlines has remained calm, the Thai military continues to launch aggressive attacks on Cambodian sovereign territory in other areas. In response, Cambodian forces continue to resist the aggressors fiercely, monitoring the situation closely and maintaining a high state of vigilance.
The Ministry underscored that these actions constitute indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas and represent a serious violation of international law.
