The President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) visited wounded soldiers at a provincial hospital on Wednesday, donating medical equipment and financial aid to support those injured on the frontline.
Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, president of the humanitarian organisation, met with troops at Kampong Thom provincial hospital to offer “encouragement and support” to those treated for injuries and smoke inhalation sustained while defending the country’s borders.
During the visit, the CRC President donated 40 million Riels roughly (US$10,000) to the hospital’s meal programme and provided cash assistance and supplies to individual patients.
Responding to requests from hospital administrators, the CRC also delivered a C-Arm surgical imaging system and a mobile X-ray machine to upgrade the facility’s diagnostic capabilities.
“The assistance reflects a continued commitment to supporting wounded soldiers, their families, and vulnerable communities,” said the CRC.
In addition to the medical donations, 400 cases of drinking water and soft drinks were provided to the provincial administration for humanitarian distribution.
