Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak together with Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province Mang Sineth presided over a warm official welcoming ceremony for the cruise ship DIAMOND PRINCESS, sailing under the flag of Bermuda.
The ship measures 288.33 meters in length, 37.50 meters in width, with a draft of 8.50 meters. It safely docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port carrying 2,850 international tourists from 52 nationalities, who visited Cambodia’s tourism attractions, including city beach resorts, pagodas, and the Central Market, among others.
Taking this occasion, tourism minister stated that the arrival of the DIAMOND PRINCESS coincides with Cambodia and the Royal Government’s preparations to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Win-Win Policy initiated by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, as well as the Peace Day in Cambodia 2025 and the 7th anniversary of the Win-Win Monument.
He highlighted that twenty-eight years ago, Samdech Techo introduced the Win-Win Policy, and all stakeholders under his leadership successfully implemented it, bringing peace, nationwide political stability, and opportunities for comprehensive national development. This progress has been achieved under the wise and decisive leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of Cambodia and current President of the Senate, and continues under the capable, visionary leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
Furthermore, Minister Huot Hak emphasised that over the past two years, Samdech Thipadei has continued to lead the Royal Government of Cambodia in maintaining peace, political stability, and national development across all sectors, moving toward Cambodia’s Vision 2050 of becoming a high-income country.
He added that the docking of the DIAMOND PRINCESS was not a coincidence; rather, it conveys a clear message and image to the world that Cambodia enjoys peace and political stability and is progressing in all sectors.
Under the leadership of the Royal Government and the sacred protection of the Cambodian Monarch, Cambodia is fully capable of providing opportunities and ensuring safety for both domestic and foreign investors at all times and in all places, he underscored.
