Former Cambodian Prime Minister and current Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen on Tuesday inspected preparations for humanitarian aid packages destined for civilians displaced by Thai army incursion along the Cambodia-Thailand border.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen visited a team responsible for packing relief supplies organised under the auspices of Samdech Hun Sen and his wife, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, as well as Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and his wife, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony.
The aid is intended for residents who have fled their homes in several Cambodian provinces bordering Thailand amid ongoing tensions.
The relief operation is being coordinated by Lok Chumteav Hun Mana, Director-General of Bayon Radio and Television.
Cambodian authorities say thousands of civilians have been forced to seek shelter away from frontline areas as hostilities have disrupted daily life in border communities.
