Commerce Minister, FICCI Discuss Bilateral Trade Expansion and Investment


H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, met with Members of the Federation of India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) led by Mr. Chetan Bijesure, Deputy Secretary General of FICCI on Feb. 23 in New Delhi, India.

During the meeting, FICCI members expressed their interest in expanding economic and trade activities with Cambodia, using the Cambodia-India Joint Business Council as a mechanism to promote cooperation.

In response, H.E. Minister encouraged FICCI members to increase investment in Cambodia’s potential sectors and work closely with Cambodian private sector partners to enhance trade and investment linkages between businessmen and investors of the two countries.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, an organisation established in 1927, represents the voice of Indian business and industry, with a membership of approximately 250,000 companies from both the private and public sectors.
