His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk have donated US$100,000 to the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) in support of humanitarian activities.
His Majesty contributed US$50,000 and Her Majesty another US$50,000, along with royal messages addressed to Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, CRC President.
The royal messages and donations were delivered this morning by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, Samech Mohamontrei Kuy Sophal, to the CRC, represented by Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Permanent Vice-President of the CRC.
After receiving the royal messages and donations, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen expressed profound gratitude to Their Majesties the King and Queen Mother for their generous royal support to the CRC’s humanitarian work.
The contribution is made in celebration of the 163rd World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day (May 8), which will be held under the theme “Continued Joint Forces for Humanity.”
