In a demonstration of national solidarity ahead of the upcoming Khmer New Year, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hun Many visited displaced citizens across multiple sites to provide humanitarian aid and participate in traditional festivities.
H.E. Hun Many, who also serves as the Minister of Civil Service and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), led a delegation of Royal Government officials, private sector representatives, and local authorities to 12 separate displacement camps.
Under the theme “Always with the Nation, the Forces, and the Displaced,” the initiative aimed to provide emotional support and material relief to vulnerable communities.
During the visits, the Deputy Prime Minister engaged in “Samaky” (solidarity) meals with residents and presided over the distribution of essential gifts. To preserve Cambodian cultural heritage, the events featured traditional folk games, Khmer drum performances (Skor Dai), and various artistic showcases.
“These gatherings are organised not only to provide essential support but to ensure that our elderly and displaced brothers and sisters are included in the national spirit of the New Year,” officials stated.
