H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, received a courtesy call here on April 4 from Mr. Lu Wei, Chairman of the Board and representative of Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., for a working discussion and progress update on the development of new tourism products.
H.E. Minister expressed his deep appreciation and high recognition of the Chairman and the company, a major Chinese state-owned enterprise, for their confidence in the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
This investment includes the Siem Reap Angkor International Airport and the development of surrounding areas into a multifunctional hub for culture, tourism, and commerce.
Additionally, the project focuses on the creation of new, high value-added tourism products driven by innovation and equipped with cutting-edge technologies, many of which are being introduced for the first time in Cambodia.
H.E. Minister and the Chairman agreed to establish a joint working group between the Ministry and the company to regularly monitor the progress of investment projects and provide updates on tourist arrivals and air passenger traffic through the airport.
This mechanism aims to ensure the smooth and swift implementation of investment projects, further boost growth, and effectively address the needs and requests of tourists visiting Siem Reap in a timely and efficient manner.
