ANZ Royal Bank will be changed to J Trust Royal Bank in August after its 55 percent share was acquired by J Trust Group of Japan last year.

The information was revealed by Mr. Nobuyoshi Fujisawa, President and CEO of J Trust Group, in his courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in Tokyo, Japan yesterday afternoon, on the sidelines of the 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the investment of J Trust Group in Cambodia and asked the bank to help Cambodian companies through credit provision.

Mr. Nobuyoshi Fujisawa affirmed that J Trust Group will cooperate with Royal Group, a Cambodian conglomerate, and will provide loans to Cambodian companies.

Founded in 2005, ANZ Royal is a joint venture between Royal Group Finance Co. Ltd., a subsidy of the Royal Group of Companies, and ANZF.

J Trust Group was established in 1977 and employs now more than 3,000 staff. It aims to expand its business activities, mainly across Southeast Asia, as part of its overall growth strategy, and has been focusing on M&As in banks and financing companies.
