PM Receives Cambodian Community in the Czech Republic


Upon their arrival in Prague, the Czech Republic yesterday, Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his high-level delegation were warmly welcomed by many Cambodian nationals and students at the hotel.

According to his official Facebook page, Samdech Techo Hun Sen shared his appreciation for all the Cambodian students pursuing their studies in the Czech Republic and other foreign nations.

It is the pride of Cambodia to have human resources trained everywhere, both inside and outside the country.

Cambodia and the Czech Republic have had good relations since the 1960s, and His Majesty the late King Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk (Preah Borom Rattanak Kaudh) also used to be study in the Czech Republic, said the Cambodian Premier, pointing out that the diplomatic relations between the two countries have been particularly good since 1979-1990, when the Cambodian government sent more students to the country.

The Czech Republic also has good relations with ASEAN and meanwhile, the country has decided to provide Cambodia with US$1 million a year as development assistance starting from 2020, he added.

On the occasion, Samdech Techo Prime Minister informed them about the Ambok Eating campaign to protect the Nation, Religion and King, and invited them to join the event to be held from Nov. 9 to 12, 2019 on the occasion of the Independence Day and Water Festival.
