Switzerland Provides US$2.5 Million For Skill Training And Agricultural Development In Cambodia


Switzerland has approved US$2.5 million in aid to support skill training and agricultural development in Cambodia.

This was shared by Mr. Markus Buerli, newly appointed Director of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to Cambodia while paying a courtesy call on H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance on Sept. 8 at the ministry.

“Besides assisting the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, the Swiss Government has approved an additional budget of US$2.5 million to support Cambodia, focusing mainly on programmes such as short-term skill training, agricultural development, and home-based farming,” Mr. Markus Buerli said.

For his part, H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth expressed his gratitude to the Swiss government, through SDC, for its support for Cambodia’s development.
