COVID-19: Tally Reaches 878 with 34 New Infections


The total confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia increased to 878 with the detection 34 new cases, said the Ministry of Health in a press release issued this morning.

According to the ministry, the new cases are all related to the Feb. 20 Community Event. They include 17 Chinese, 15 Cambodians, and 2 Vietnamese aged between 19 and 44 years old. Most of them are in Phnom Penh capital and Preah Sihanouk province.

Meanwhile, four COVID-19 patients have successfully recovered. One of them is a 52-year-old Cambodian migrant workers from Thailand, and the other three are imported cases – two Indonesians of 18 years old and a Chinese woman of 31 years old. They all have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.

The total recovered patients in the Kingdom now stood at 482 with no fatal case.
