PM Stresses the Danger of Sending COVID-19 Patients to Capital

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has emphasised the danger of sending COVID-19 patients from province for treatment in Phnom Penh.

In his special voice message this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen explained that this does not help the patients, but make their situation worse with a long trip to the capital city.

The Premier said actually the medical services in the capital are better than those in the provinces, but in terms of COVID-19 care and treatment, the Royal Government has been enhancing the capacity of provincial and regional hospitals for more than a year, therefore people should believe in the provincial medical practitioners.

As of yesterday morning, Cambodia recorded in total 116,860 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 2.670 death cases.
