KOICA Donates Ambulances and Rapid Test Kits to Ministry of Health


The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has provided 10 ambulances and 83,325 COVID-19 rapid test kits to the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The handover ceremony took place here at the ministry on Jan. 12 under the presidency of H.E. Dr. Youk Sambath, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Mr. Hyunjun RHO, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Dr. Youk Sambath expressed thanks to the Government and people of Korea for their technical, material and financial support for Cambodia’s health sector.

Mr. Hyunjun RHO highly praised the Royal Government of Cambodia as well as the Ministry of Health for their efforts and achievements in controlling the spread of COVID-19 and in providing COVID-19 vaccines to the Cambodian people and foreigners, including the Korean people, who are currently residing and working in the Kingdom.

The donation is part of the four-year (2019-2023) Project for Strengthening Maternal and Child Health in North Eastern Provinces (Rattanakiri and Mondulkiri) of Cambodia, implemented under a US$ 7 million grant aid of the Republic of Korea via KOICA.
