Cambodia-Japan Digitalised Manufacturing Centre Inaugurated


The Cambodia-Japan Digitalised Manufacturing Centre (CJDM) were inaugurated in Phnom Penh on Dec. 7 by H.E. Yuok Ngoy, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and H.E. Mikami Masahiro, Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia.

According to the Embassy of Japan, CJDM is established with the strong support by the industry, government and academia from both countries, including ODA from Japanese government for procurement of advanced machine tools, and its goal is to develop high-level industrial human resources with a view to further industrial development in Cambodia.

H.E. Mikami Masahiro said the relationship between Japan and Cambodia that is as strong and comprehensive as ever, and expressed the hope that CJDM will grow and become a Research and Development (R&D) hub servicing the whole ASEAN region with mutually beneficial relationship with Japanese companies.

Located in the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), the CJDM Project is a symbol of Cambodia-Japan Strong Relationship. The centre implements the well-known model of innovation which promotes University-Industry-Government collaboration triangle to foster economic and social development as it supports complete production chain starting from knowhow to final product.
