CMAC, Japanese Firm Cooperate in Pearl Barley Cultivation


Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and Nishida Baley Processing Co., Ltd. have cooperated in pearl barley cultivation.

H.E. Heng Ratana, Director General of CMAC met with Mr. Nishida Seibaku, the President and CEO of Japan-based Nishida Baley Processing Co., Ltd., in Siem Reap provincial city on Tuesday to discuss the cooperation.

According to CMAC, the meeting focused on the cooperation of pearl barley value chain, which will be processed by the Japanese company to produce finished products for export.

The project of pearl barley cultivation is planned to be implemented at the Community Development Centre (CDC), where a team of Japanese technicians visited and studied the geography to assess the potential of the centre before the project implementation.
