Cambodia and Vietnam have vowed to further promote their cooperation in all fields, especially trade, tourism and national defence.
The commitment was reaffirmed by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Nguyen Huy Tang during their meeting at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet spoke highly of the meeting, stressing that it is an opportunity to discuss continued strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the two neighbours – Cambodia and Vietnam.
The Vietnamese diplomat expressed his appreciation for the continuous development in all areas of Cambodia, and his satisfaction with the growing Cambodia-Vietnam bilateral relations.
The Vietnamese government is committed to expanding existing cooperation at all levels, especially in the fields of trade, tourism, national defence and security, and looking for new potential areas, he said, inviting the Cambodian Premier to pay an official visit to Vietnam in the near future.
The discussion also touched on the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam trilateral mechanism aimed at fostering closer and stronger cooperation between the three neighbouring nations.
