Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet presided over here this morning the commemoration of the 28th Founding Anniversary of the Special Forces Command (Nov. 9, 1995-Nov. 9, 2023).
Addressing the function, the Premier spoke highly of the achievements of the Special Forces Command as well as its key contribution to the missions of national defence, emergency rescue during natural disasters, fight against terrorism, mine clearance, and so on.
Gen. Sum Samnang, Commander of the Special Forces Command, said all forces under the command have been actively participating in maintaining peace and social order in the Kingdom.
“Over the past 28th years, the Special Forces Command is an army unit that participates valiantly in activities for the cause of the nation and its people,” he underlined on the occasion.
Different activities including parade, fighting performance, parachute display, etc. were organised at the annual celebration.
