Cambodia Encourages Acceleration of CLV Triangle Area Development


Cambodian lawmaker encouraged the Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam (CLV) Joint-Coordinating Committee to further accelerate the development of the CLV Triangle Area guided by the agreed master plan.

H.E. Suos Yara, Chair of the Cambodian National Assembly (NA) Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Propaganda, and Information (5th Commission), made the call during the meeting of the Political and Foreign Affairs Committees of the CLV Parliaments on Dec. 5 in Vientiane, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

Themed “Strengthening the CLV Parliament Roles in Advancing Cooperation, Partnership, Solidarity, and Prosperity,” the meeting was facilitated by H.E. Sanya Praseuth, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR.

H.E. Vu Hai Ha, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led his country’s delegation to the meeting.

H.E. Suos Yara continued that a developed CLV Triangle Area reflects good cooperation among the three neighbours in line with the vision of the three party leaders, the three governments, and the three parliaments.

The meeting of the Political and Foreign Affairs Committees of the CLV Parliaments exchanged development experiences and lessons learned for joint solutions and set forth future directions.

Along with the concerned institutions of the three countries, representatives of the authorities of the 13 provinces of the CLV countries also joined the discussion.
