An American company named Otis McAllister, Inc. has studied the possibility to purchase Cambodia’s milled rice for its market supply.
The discussion of the possibility of exporting Cambodia’s milled rice to American markets was held between H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and Mr. Patrick Murphy, Executive Vice President of Rice and Grains/ Global Sourcing at Otis McAllister, Inc., at Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh on June 3.
On the occasion, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul encouraged all 16 major rice exporting companies which were members of the Cambodia Rice Federation to collaborate with Otis McAllister, Inc. to reach an agreement on purchasing Cambodian milled rice for American market supply as soon as possible.
For his part, Mr. Patrick Murphy appreciated Cambodia’s progress and development, which was opposite from what he had heard, and admired Cambodian milled rice with guaranteed quality and quantity in particular.
