Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, in Kunming, China’s Yunnan province on Nov. 6, during their stay for a series of summits there.
On the occasion, H.E. Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing updated the Cambodian Premier on the general political situation and the preparations for the upcoming general elections in Myanmar. He also thanked Cambodia for sharing experiences and some concepts on the resolution to the Myanmar crisis.
In reply, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the Myanmar supreme leader for the update, hoping that the crisis in Myanmar would be resolved peacefully in the near future. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of inclusive dialogue and the implementation of the ASEAN’s 5-Point Consensus.
Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing also discussed the bilateral relations between Cambodia and Myanmar, focusing on a number of key areas such as trade and people-to-people contacts.
